Hurricanes Prevail Over Rival Gators

The Hurricanes were faced with an early test as they had to take on one of the toughest teams in the SEC, The Florida Gators. While the Hurricanes were viewed as a three point underdogs, they were able to come out victorious. This was a very impressive win for the Canes as in the past two seasons under Golden, they have yet to come away with a monumental win. The University of Miami has to face Florida Atlantic University in the opening week of the season. Most schools usually treat week 1 as a mini preseason as they usually schedule a lesser opponent to begin the season. This is the case as FAU is viewed as one of the bottom dwellers of the FBS for years. Despite this being viewed as an easy match up for the Canes, it is a game that is still taken serious and it gives the coaches a chance to see how the team looks. (more…)

Canes Unbeaten No Longer

The University of Miami Hurricanes suffered their first loss of the season at home and in the ACC. The Tar Heels of North Carolina defeated Miami 18-14. For the first time this season, the Hurricanes have lost two in a row. Miami‚Äôs high-powered offensive attack was befuddled by the Tar Heel defense. (more…)
